Landscape, nature and local heritage
Chóvar and its surroundings are rich in nature: cork oak forests, ravines with rock formations, fountains and corners of great beauty. In addition, the town center of Chóvar preserves a picturesque environment: narrow streets, fountains and historical remains - such as the old defensive tower - that reflect its past.
Hiking and Nature
- You can walk the circular route Barranco de Ajuez - Nevera de Castro, which starts from Chóvar, crosses a lush cork oak forest and ends at the historic "Nevera de Castro". Ideal for a day trip.
- The natural park offers numerous marked trails and routes of varying difficulty, from quiet walks to more demanding routes, ideal for those who love the mountains.
- If you are more interested, you can also do long-distance routes such as the GR-333 Espadán-Mijares or the GR-36 Trans Espadán, which cross different parts of the mountain range

Mountain bike / e-MTB
From Chóvar you can access MTB routes with different levels of difficulty. For example, the circular route along the Puntal de l'Aljub trail offers an intense experience: length of ~51 km and a good gradient, ideal for experienced cyclists. There are also multi-use trails for mountain, electric bike, hiking or trail-running very close to the accommodation.
